Healthy Lunches & Dental Hygiene

May 7, 2025

Next week, we will revisit healthy eating & dental hygiene. In Scoil Eoin, we promote and encourage healthy eating and we would like to remind all of our Whole School Food Policy which is available on our school website.

https://www.innishannonschool.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Whole-School-Food-Policy-24.pdf

We encourage items such as fruits, vegetables, brown bread, hummus, pasta, plain rice cakes, pitta bread, yoghurt, cheese. Items such as crisps, chocolate, biscuits, sweet muffins, fizzy drinks are not permitted. Scoil Eoin aims to be a nut free environment for the safety of all. Please do not include any items containing nuts in your child's lunchbox. As part of our policy, we do not permit sweet treats including chocolate, jellies, crisps etc on Fridays. It is important that we work together by encouraging and promoting healthy habits together for the benefit of all. Please click on the link to the Bord Bia website which contains tips on healthy eating for primary school children.
