Seesaw- Coming Soon!
Staff members have been working hard during the closure to look at different ways in which we can support the childrens’ education during these unprecedented and challenging times.
With this in mind, we hope to use an online platform called Seesaw to engage with our pupils. We hope to complete setting this up during the week.
Please click on this link to learn how to access Seesaw: Getting Started with Seesaw
(Home learning codes will be provided to each student which will allow them to sign into Seesaw Class, view their journal, add posts and receive class announcements from their teachers. Students do not see the work of other students in their class)
Once children have received their learning codes, the children can upload one piece of completed work to their Seesaw journal, taken from their suggested work on the school website. Teachers will then provide feedback on your child’s uploaded work.
We are very conscious that the current situation is very challenging for every member of our school community. Families of pupils and staff are finding themselves having to deal with a very unexpected, new reality.
A reminder that any work which is set by teachers is suggested work and there should be no pressure on any child to have to complete everything. We know that every family is different and that circumstances may not allow the same level of engagement from one day to the next. Please do not feel guilty in any way if your child does not get something completed.
Education happens in so many different ways for children, at primary level. Children are very resilient and will bounce back from this. They may even use this time to develop new skills
We very much miss all the children and can’t wait to welcome them back to school as soon as this current situation has passed. In the meantime, we look forward to engaging with them online. If we have any new information we will contact you.
Take care of yourselves, keep safe, wash your hands and practice social distancing.
